DKP System Overview

This Document details the DKP system we will be using from 16/01/07 for the instances within the Burning Crusade Expansion.

DKP will be awarded as before for Boss Kills and on a Per Hour basis.

DKP Hourly Rate: 5 DKP

Boss Kill Rate: 5 to 20 DKP

The actual Boss Kill value may vary from boss to boss depending on the difficulty of the encounter.

In order to qualify for the DKP earned per hour you must have spent at least 45 of the hour within the raid actively raiding. Excessive AFK may result in the denial of that hour's DKP and ultimately removal from the raid group.

Officers may occasionally give Bonus DKP in the case of wipe nights or First Kills of new bosses.

Items looted during an instance which qualify for DKP usage will be put up for auction in the designated channel. The auction process is automated and kept deliberately simple, auctions start with a designated minimum value which is the lowest amount someone can bid. People interested in the item can then enter the amount they want to bid in the Auction channel, bidding continues until there is one clear winner. In the event that there are 2 people with equal DKP amounts available to bid it will simply be a case of the first one to bid will win usually except at the officers discretion.

Bids will be declared invalid if:

• The bidder does not have enough DKP to cover the amount of the bid. (Automatic)
  
• The Bid does not meet the minimum bid or current highest. (Automatic)
  
• The bidder is bidding for an item which is deemed unsuitable for them/their class, i.e. mistakely bidding on the wrong T4 token etc. (Officer Intervention)
  

It will be very rare that officers will intervene in the bidding process, we operate a fairly open system however we do apply common sense rules, i.e. casters should not bid on melee DPS items etc. The other main rule is that you should not outbid people on a 2nd piece of the same Tier gear for alternate specs, i.e. no 2x Tier 4 Shoulders unless ofc the only other bidder(s) are also going for their 2nd version. 

The standard minimum bid we will use for all auctions is 10 DKP.
